Najaha Begum: I am currently in my third year studying Ba Honours Textile Design at Derby University, specialising in Weave. I have always been interested in fashion and textiles from a young age. My specialist area has required the usage of the Jacquard and weaves loom and the Texel. For my final project I have combined my shared cultural identity of the eastern and western cultures and this is reflected in my work. In my final project I have combined sari, sari yarns and also using tartan fabric to create a unique style with both traditional fabric. My main focus for my samples is interior fashion.I also have my own style in my weave. I use fabric such as sari fabric or sari yarns on my weave to make my own style.
